Haggle for circus items in the Circuni Marketplace

The Circuni Marketplace brings together circus items offered and wanted by collectors and specialists.

The Marketplace is powered by our sister site, Hagglefor, which brings together collectables from Circuni and other specialist interests across Merryton.

A privacy-focused marketplace

Circuni and Hagglefor are deliberately designed not to build permanent trading profiles of their members.

The limited personal information needed to complete a Deal is kept only temporarily. After the Deal is complete, it is kept for a short period in case an issue needs to be resolved, then the identifiable connection between buyer, seller and Deal is permanently deleted.

Browsing and bidding

Browsing is open to everyone.

To bid and use the full set of Marketplace tools, you’ll need an appropriate membership. Membership also provides useful Marketplace tools such as filtering and hiding items you’re not interested in.

Hagglefor works a little differently from most online marketplaces. Buyers can adjust their bids and sellers can adjust their asking prices, allowing both sides to haggle towards a price that works for them — much like a real-world deal.

Hence the name Hagglefor.

Selling

Selling access is available to approved members and is granted separately from ordinary Marketplace membership.

Where an item already has a page in Circuni, the normal route is simply to choose Sell Mine from that page. Suitable circus collectables that are not yet represented in the Circuni archive can also be considered for listing.

Wanted cards

Wanted cards show that collectors are interested in a particular item.

If you own a similar item, you may be able to offer yours through the Marketplace and invite bids from those collectors and the wider community, giving your item the best chance of finding an interested buyer.

When a Deal is struck

When a seller accepts a bid, the buyer and seller enter a private Deal Room where they arrange payment, delivery or collection between themselves on whatever terms they agree.

Circuni and Hagglefor do not process payment for Marketplace items or arrange shipping.

Stored account contact details are not exchanged automatically. Buyer and seller decide what information they wish to share with each other through their Deal Room messages.

Any seller-location information shown by the Marketplace remains deliberately approximate. Private contact details remain private unless a participant chooses to share them.
